Quill & Compass is built by one developer in the United Kingdom. Everything below arrives in the same inbox, and the person who reads it is the person who writes the code.
What to send, and where it goes
All of it to the same address — there is only one. A subject line helps, and these are the ones that get sorted fastest:
| If you want to | Say this in the subject | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Report something broken | Bug | Tell us what you were doing and what happened instead. If it happened during a session, say which screen you were on — that alone usually finds it. |
| Ask how something works | Question | Ask plainly. If the answer turns out to be "the app should have made that obvious", that becomes a job on the board. |
| Get your data, or have it erased | Data request | We reply within one month, usually the same week. See the privacy page for exactly what we hold. |
| Ask for a refund | Refund request | Fourteen days, no questions. See refunds. |
| Write about it, or ask for assets | Press | Screenshots, wordmark and a straight answer to any question about how it works. No embargo games. |
| Report a security problem | Security | Please tell us privately first. We will confirm within two working days, fix it, and credit you publicly if you would like that. |
What to expect
- A reply, from a person, within two working days. That is a promise about the reply, not about the fix — some fixes take a while, and we would rather tell you that than go quiet.
- No auto-responder pretending to be a support desk.
- No sales follow-up. Writing to us does not put you on the mailing list. The only way onto that list is the signup form, and the only way off it is one click.
The founder programme
If you have joined The First 200, this address is the direct line the programme promises. One thing is worth more to us than anything else you could send: play one real session and tell us what broke. That is the whole ask.
